A Brief History of The Builders Exchange

TBE is geared entirely toward saving you time and money, increasing your competitive edge, and enhancing your business in general.

Founded in 1937 by the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, TBE's broad-based membership includes general contractors, subcontractors, material and jobsite suppliers, manufacturer's representatives, design professionals, and a variety of associate members. 

TBE publishes a weekly Construction News Bulletin. This Bulletin provides a broad spectrum of construction projects both public and private throughout 20 counties of the West Coast and Central Florida.  

In January of 2000 we started servicing the members of the Gulf Coast Builders Exchange with our on-line reporting service.  

In August of 2003, we merged with the Mid State Builders Exchange wich has been operating in Ocala and Gainsville for over 29 years.
